    Grilled White Rum Wings

    Grilled White Rum Wings

    Yields: 3 – 4 Servings
    Ingredients:

    • 3 – 4 pounds of chicken wings (Free Range, if possible)
    • 5 garlic cloves – crushed and finely chopped
    • 1 medium onion – finely chopped
    • jalapenos to taste – finely chopped (pickled, bottled or fresh will all work fine)
    • 1 cup white rum
    • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    • 3 tablespoons of Tamari soy sauce (wheat free)
    • 2 tablespoons Franks Red Hot Sauce
    • 3 tablespoons honey

    Directions:

    1. In a large bowl, combine the garlic, onion, jalapenos, rum, olive oil, soy sauce, honey and Franks Sauce, mix well.
    2. Add the wings and toss to thoroughly cover with the marinade.
    3. Cover with plastic wrap and let the wings marinate for 2 to 3 hours in refrigerator.
    4. Remove wings from the marinade and place on a hot grill. (Reserve marinade for basting the wings.)
    5. Grill wings for 20 minutes, turn and brush with marinade every 5 minutes or so.
    6. Remove from the grill and serve.
